LAHORE: A programme titled ‘Wall of Peace against Terrorism’ was held under the auspices of Tanzeem Al-Fajar Pakistan during a ceremony held at Govt Central Model School Rettigan Road.
Meanwhile, certificates were also distributed to the members of AlFajar Umeed-e-Jawan Peace Club. Parliamentary Secretary for Information Technology Rana Muhammad Arshad was the chief guest whereas SPO Regional Head Salman Abid, Principal Rai Liaqat Ali Kharal, Junior Section Principal Yasmin Ashiq, Provincial Narcotics Control Committee member Akmal Awaisi Peerzada and many other prominent personalities and a large number of students also attended the programme.
In his speech, Rana Muhammad Arshad highly praised the efforts of Al-Fajar Peace Club and termed it a ray of hope for schools suffocating in the environment of terrorism and fear . Only youth can bring back the good old days in the society and their step towards peace is a good omen, he added.–Staff Reporter
He asked other oganisations to play a key role to boost efforts against terrorism.
The principal said that such clubs would bring about revolutionary change in the educational environment. The Junior Section principal said that following senior section, junior section has worked for the peace club which must be encouraged. He hoped that the message of peace would reach every nook and corner of the society soon.
