Country’s wealth concentrated in few hands, says Bilawal

LAHORE -  PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that country’s wealth had been concentrated in few hands while the poor were suffering due to inflation.

He said this while addressing a public rally at Gujjar Khan through hologram technology from Bilawal House Lahore. Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was also present in the gathering along with local party leaders.

Bilawal said that present system was producing three million jobless people every year while the present rulers, whom he called power hungry, had no regard for the sufferings of the poor.

“How could a country make progress which lacked economic justice and equal opportunities for all”, he observed. He lamented that things had not changed in the last 50 years.

“A dictator ruled the country 50 years ago and now a so-called democracy was in place without any real change since that period”, he remarked, adding, that Shaheed Bhutto had raised standard of rebellion against the unjust system at that time.

Bilawal said that Z.A Bhutto became voice of the downtrodden during the dictatorial regime by giving them an ideology.

He said that party founder had then passed the leadership of the poor to the hands of Shaheed BB who upheld the legacy of her father till last.

Bilawal reaffirmed his commitment with the party ideology, stating that PPP was a symbol of progressive politics in the country.

He asked the party workers from Gujjar Khan, Jhelum, Attock and Rawalpindi to reach Islamabad on December 5 to participate in the rally being held to commemorate PPP’s 50th Foundation Day.

Bilawal plans to spend another two days in Lahore to supervise the arrangements being made to celebrate 50th foundation of the PPP on November 30th.
