BAHAWALPUR
Islamic University of Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar has expressed pleasure over the appointments of faculty deans and head of departments of the newly-established Government Sadiq College Women University (GSCWU).
He hoped that now the academic and administrative set-up would function smoothly. The faculty deans and head of departments assumed their offices. Prof Salma Begum Khan was appointed as dean of faculty of Arts while Prof Azra Yasmin Baig was posted as the dean faculty of Business Management, Prof Noushaba Kausar dean of Faculty of Education and Prof Sabiha Khakwani was posted as dean of Islamic Learning.
The head of departments of the Faculty of Arts will be as following Aziza Sehar appointed as Chairperson Fashion, Art and Design Department, Shaguffta Saleem Chairperson Political Science Department, Nargis Jamshed Ansari Chairperson History Department, Nuzhat Jabeen Chairperson Urdu Department while Surraya Tallat will be the Chairperson of English Department.
Fatima Fayyaz will be Chairperson of the Computer Science and IT Department while Riffat Rehmani will be the Chairperson of the Economics Department of the Business Management Faculty.
Aziza Zia, Applied Psychology Department, Parveen Akbar Bari, Education and Training Department while Farida Nuzhat, Physical Education Department were appointed as chairpersons of the respective departments of the Education Faculty.
Gul-e-Shirin Naqvi was appointed Chairperson of the Arabic Department while Asmat Ashraf Chairperson of the Islamic Studies Department of the Islamic Learning Faculty.
