Imran calls for Asif's disqualification

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan levelled serious allegation against Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif on Friday, claiming that he receives Rs1.6 million salary from a Dubai-based company.

A larger bench in the Islamabad High Court is hearing petition against the foreign minister over allegations of Iqama levelled by PTI activist Usman Dar.

Imran had also accused Asif of receiving salary from a Dubai-based company while holding office in Pakistan, calling for his immediate disqualification.

Speaking to a PTI rally in Hafizabad, the PTI chief lambasted the government and the federal ministers over their support for the ousted premier Nawaz Sharif. He accused both Nawaz Sharif and ex-President Asif Zardari of earning money through unfair means while holding offices.

"A corrupt prime minister can never stop his ministers from corruption," he said.
