Shabnam returns to Pakistan film industry with Aaina 2

LAHORE: Fashion as a phenomenon is something that is very dynamic and in constant change, which is why the people in this business have to keep bringing something new on the ramp.

Taking inspiration from international trends and customizing them to the Pakistani market and people Depilex showcased their 2018 Winter/Festive hair and makeup show collection the other day at Royal Palm Golf & Country Club.

The red carpet was buzzing with celebs, media, socialites and fashionistas clicking up a storm. Meera, Adnan Siddiqui, veteran actor Shabnam and Ather Shahzad were among those who graced the event with their presence.

The ramp was gleaming black and lit by an array of shiny disco balls which reflected the lights as models sashayed down.

The one day fashion show was divided into three categories; Bridal Hair and Makeup, Hair Color and Avant Garde, Hair and Makeup.

The main highlight of the show was the Avant Garde headpiece hairstyles which were showcased as the last segment of the fashion show. Using liberty rolls technique to create vintage inspired style model Fauzia Aman definitely made a statement on the runway.

Talking to The Nation Shabnam said, “From the diverse works of art that the hairstylists of Depilex have shown their immense talent and hard work. With the revival of cinema Pakistan film industry has progressed a lot. I’m in Pakistan these days for the shooting of Aaina 2 which will begin next week in Karachi,” she said.

On the occasion Musarrat Misbah said, “We had a vision to bring an exclusive hair and makeup show to Pakistan to allow for more visibility of international standards and aesthetics across our network and the industry. 2017 has been a great year for our brand with our footprint reaching so many new locations in the country,” she said.  

Creative Director Depilex Redah Misbah said, “The aim was to give a fresh and open-minded outlook as to how to enhance the look with makeup. Depilex Reveal 2017 embodies team work and with a clear vision and passion you can create something beautiful,” Redah said.
