Bid foiled to abduct two female students, driver in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A bid to abduct two female university students and their driver was foiled but the kidnappers managed to escape. One female student was injured in an attempt to flee.

Police said that armed men attempted to abduct two female university students and their driver along with a vehicle from Khyaban-e-Sir Syed area of Rawalpindi.

A female student was injured after she escaped by jumping out of the moving vehicle and was shifted to hospital for treatment.

Due to the tracker installed on the vehicle, it stopped at Imam Bargah Chowk and the abductors leaving the vehicle and the kidnapped, fled from the scene.

The police, after registering a case against unknown kidnappers, has started an investigation into the incident.
