Rawalpindi - A court of law yesterday sent Muhammad Ali, who was arrested in connection with carrying out knife attacks on women in Morgah area, to Adiala Jail on judicial remand.

Civil Judge/Judicial Magistrate Qasim Rasool sent the accused to the jail after Morgah police stated that they had completed their investigation and would soon submit investigation report in the court.

Talking to media persons after the court proceedings, Advocate Raja Sitar Ullah, who is representing 19-year-old Ali, said that his client was mentally disturbed. He said that Ali had undergone surgery to have his gall bladder removed. He said that Ali was under treatment at Fauji Foundation Hospital (FFH) when a nurse of the hospital was stabbed to death outside the hospital.

The lawyer said that the police arrested Ali only to cover up their inefficiency. It may be recalled here that Ali was arrested on August 9.
