LAHORE – The participants of the ceremony adopted a number of resolutions including the one regarding concerns over character assassination of father of the nation by some politicians.
The resolution demanded the politicians to avoid hurting the sentiments of the nation through irresponsible remarks about Quaid-e-Azam as he is a symbol of unity and solidarity of the country. It stated that the use of objectionable language by some pseudo intellectuals about the personality and political strategy of Quaid-e-Azam at electronic and print media was not acceptable. It demanded the government to blacklist these pseudo intellectuals on electronic and print media.
Through another resolution, the participants demanded the government to resist the US plan of making India a mini super power by allowing her to increase influence in Afghanistan. Another resolution urged the rulers to cut Nato supply line on permanent basis and avoiding taking such steps that prolong the US stay in Afghanistan. In a resolution, the participants demanded the government to take practical steps to ensure provision of right to self determination to the Kashmiris after passage of supporting resolution by the UN General Assembly.
Through another resolution, the participants demanded the government to withdraw the decision of giving MFN status to India till the arch rival agreed to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN resolutions and stopped hatching conspiracies against the unity and solidarity of Pakistan.
Separate resolutions also demanded measures to stop the US drone attacks, adopting negotiations to end terrorism, inclusion of teachings of Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal and Fatima Jinnah in syllabus, concerns over change in 12th point of famous 14 points of Quaid-e-Azam in the name of shortening, measures for early release of Dr Afia Siddiqi, rehabilitation of flood victims and measures for overcoming energy crises.
