According to a news report (daily The Nation, dated 21-12-2011) the government is all set to explode historic gas tariff to be collected from January 2012 thus collecting billion of rupees from the pockets of gas consumers. But let me ask the government where is the gas? The present government would always be remembered for its corruption, mismanagement and lack of vision. Their only agenda seems to be filling their kitty by hook or by crook and transfer it to foreign accounts. Their misplaced policies have brought mega giant and profiteering projects of this country to the brink and no one is ready to invest here. The ultimate sufferer is obviously common man. About a couple of months ago the problem of acute shortage and unscheduled loadshedding of electricity was solved when the angry nation took to streets to vent their spleen through a number of destructive activities. The Chief Justice was also reinstated when the people came on roads in his favour. I think the government needs another such dose to prevent it from devising anti-people policies every now and then just for their luxurious lifestyle.
