KARACHI - All Pakistan Oil Tanker Owners Association on Saturday warned to cut all fuel supplies to entire country on Monday (March 26) if the oil companies would not increase the transportation fee.
Addressing a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday, association’s chairman Haji Muhammad Akram Durrani alleged that the private power companies are involved in billions of rupees corruption.
These companies are getting full fee from the Nepra for supplying furnace oil but they actually use to supply furnace oil in low rates likely 1000 to 1400 per metric ton from fix rates. He informed that Nishat power and Nishat Choniya Power has involved in corruption of Rs700.2 million per year in 60,000 metric ton furnace oil transportation.
He warned to stop fuel supply to three power companies including Hesco, Byco and OTC by the association if their demands are not fulfilled.
