ISLAMABAD – The First Annual Spring Festival 2012 at Lake View Park would conclude on Sunday.
The three-day introductory event was organized by Ibex Sports and Leisure Club and I & N club. Different kind of activities including games competitions, art exhibition, family gala, stage performance and musical concerts were enjoyed by children, youth and families.
National College of Arts (NCA) student team from Lahore and Rawalpindi enhanced fascination of the art exhibition. Besides, youth from Lahore and Islamabad warmly participated in the kite flying and rock wall climbing competitions.
Number of local bands from Lahore also participated in the musical concerts.
A family gala was also organized to ease the participant families. Activities of funfair, dress designing, corporate stalls and swings for children were also held during the event. Ibex club covered more than 6-acre land inside the Lake View Park.
An official member of the Ibex club told this news agency that facility of gym, swimming pool and bowling area would be provided during future events.
He added that a hall would be constructed to provide roundtable sitting facilities to more than 3200 persons. He said that similar events would be organized in future where more energetic activities would be arranged. Moreover, number of renowned political personalities and civil society members participated in the festival.
