LAHORE - Millions of people sacrificed their lives during the historical movement launched for the creation of Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. These remarks were expressed by Mian Murghub Ahmad, MNA-N, at a seminar organised in connection with the March 23, 1940 Resolution at Govt Islamia College , Civil Lines, Lahore.
Highlighting the role of the Muslim League in the Pakistan Movement, Murgub said that 23rd March was a very important day in Pakistan’s history and the day should be celebrated with a pledge to achieving prosperity and glory by negating self-interests.
He said that on this day a historical resolution was passed in Lahore. In the light of the resolution the Muslims of this subcontinent struggled for an independent Muslim country and finally they achieved it. Mehr Ishtiaq Ahmad, MPA-N, Principal Dr Asif Mahmood Qureshi and Coordinator Mian Muhammad Akram also spoke on the occasion.
