KARACHI - Two youths, including son of a senior journalist, were killed and two others wounded when their vehicle skidded off Shahrah-e-Faisal due to speeding and rammed into a power pole near Nursery Bus Stop on Saturday.
Anas, 25, son of Asif Ali, a senior journalist, died instantly, while Faraz, 24, son of Asad Ali, Faryab, 24 and Osama, 23, son of Mohammad Sabir, received fatal injuries.
Police ferried them to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where Faraz succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police officials said the car the four friends were travelling by skidded and hit the pole when the driver tried to save a motorcyclist. The police officials said both the deceased were residents of North Nazimabad.
The bodies were handed over to the heirs without any legal formalities. Anas’s funeral was offered in Hyderi.
