SLS celebrates Pak Day

RAWALPINDI – To lay emphasis on the importance of Pakistan Day, special programme was organised by a local school the other day.
PML-N MPA Ch. Ayaz was the chief guest on the occasion. The children of class 2 and 3 of the Harley Street Branch of SLS Montessori & School presented impressive tableau. They were all disguised as historical political personalities of the subcontinent i.e. Liaquat Ali Khan, Maulana Mohammad Ali Johar, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah and Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Afterwards children of class 4 dressed in regional dresses of Pakistan presented a national song waving national flags, says a press release.
Children of Classes 6 and 7 participated in quiz competition which was based on the questions related to the History of Pakistan. All the students were well prepared and gave a good fight. Students of class 8 presented speeches to highlight the struggle made by our ancestors.
The chief guest speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts made by the teachers and the students.
He emphasised that the new generation needs to realise the sacrifices made by our forefathers to provide us a separate country. He said that the youth of today must work sincerely for the growth and development of the country and the future of Pakistan lay in their hands.
The function concluded on the note that we all should be proud to be a Pakistani and it is our duty to protect it and work together for its betterment.
