Liaqat Baloch urges PM to sack law minister

LAHORE: Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has called upon the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to dismiss Federal Law Minister Zahid Hamid who was directly responsible for the recent tampering with the laws relating to the Khatm e Nabuwwat causing a countrywide reaction.

Addressing a Seerat Conference at Khanpur, he said the government had put the peace of the entire country at stake only to save an individual. He declared that the faith in the Khatm e Nubuwwar, the Namoos e Rislat, the Islamic laws and the constitution of the country would be protected at every cost.

Liaqat Baloch further said that the country’s agriculture was on the decline. He said that the delay in the start of crushing at sugar mills was causing heavy loss to the sugarcane growers.

He said that the Sharif family had unlawfully shifted their three sugar mills to Rahimyar Khan area and on after a court order, the family had withheld the payments from the growers ranging in billions. He said that as the Sharif family was not making payment, the court should order payments.
