Recovery of missing persons plea disposed of

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik of the Lahore High Court on Monday disposed of a plea for recovery of an alleged missing person, after the CIA Police informed the court that the said person was in custody as he was wanted by the police in several cases of heinous nature. On the last hearing of the case, SP CIA Umar Virk had expressed ignorance about the whereabouts Hafiz Ihsanullah, the judge on which, had called for the appearance of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), and had required him to personally look into the matter and ensure recovery of the detenue on the next date hearing. Last day, appearing before the court SP CIA admitted custody of the Hafiz and informed the court that over 15 cases were registered against Hafiz Ahsanullah, husband of petitioner Shumaila, with Shahdara, Factory Area and other police stations. He said he was in custody of Factory Area police at present in connection with a criminal case. At this the judge disposed of the petition and issued directions to the police to act according to the law against the accused. The petitioner had alleged that police arrested her husband and shifted to unknown place.
