NANKANA SAHIB - Under the Baba Fareed Welfare Foundation (BFWF), 50 wheel chairs worth of Rs0.5 million were distributed among special and disabled persons belonging to Nankana and sheikhupura districts at Village Thatha Dhilwan here the other day. Former DG IB and Founder Baba Fareed Welfare Foundation District Nankana Brig (r) Ijaz Ahmed Shah was the chief guest at the distribution ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this noble work should be continued in the other fields to help out downtrodden community of the district. He urged to elite of the area to come forward and invest in the development of the industrial sector to create job opportunities for the youth of this less develop district. He also stressed the importance of cottage industry for the employment of the poor women, added, the ruling parties should work like the way the previous government had done for the welfare of the people of the district. On the occasion, the disabled and special persons prayed for the good health of Brig (r) after receiving the wheel chairs. Former MPA Zulqarnain Dogar, former MNA Shahid Manzoor Gil, former MPA Agha Ali Haider, former tehsil Nazim Shahzad Khalid, DO (Social Welfare) Mrs Amtul Rauf, DO (Social Welfare) Sheikhupura, Abdul Hanan Khawaja Nooruz Zman Awaisi, General Secretary Anjuman-e-Tajran Nankana Sheikh Shahid Mahmood, Bao Zafar Iqbal, and Rai Zaman along with other personalities of the district were also present on the occasion.
