GROS ISLET (Agencies) - Shahid Afridis decision to bowl first in second ODI worked a treat as Pakistan restricted the West Indies to 220 all out. West Indies opener Lendl Simmons hit a breezy 51 off 48 balls Monday but Pakistan limited the home team to 220 all out off 50 overs in the second cricket one-day international at Beausejour Stadium. It was Pakistans trio of spinners that did the job for the visitors through Saeed Ajmal (2-23), M Hafeez (2-38) and skipper Shahid Afridi (2-41). Left-arm seamer Wahab Riaz chipped in with 2-39. The hosts lost wickets at regular intervals throughout the innings with the highest partnership being 36 between Marlon Samuels and Dwayne Bravo for the fifth wicket. The hosts were guilty of losing wickets each and every time they were on an upward curve and ultimately fell to a total the tourists should have no trouble at all in chasing down successfully. Eight of the Windies top nine batsmen made it to double figures, but only one made it to a half-ton, leaving captain Sammy to rue a potentially good total instead left hanging 30 to 40 runs short. Where Lendl Simmons had promised much with a brisk 51 from 48 balls across a turning track, Darren Bravo and middle-order company failed to cash in. Dwayne Bravos rash heave into the deep typified the home sides ill-discipline with the willow and, as much as Pakistans spinners had their opposition outclassed, the West Indies really couldve and shouldve dug deeper. Rank tail-ender Kemar Roach, toward the end of the innings, showed just what was on offer when he stuck around for two dozen runs, while Sammys 18-run blitz provided decent albeit it brief support. Saeed Ajmal was the pick of the bowlers with miserly figures of two for 23 across 10 wily overs, which included a plethora of doosras and quicker deliveries. Wahab Riaz, M Hafeez and Afridi pitched in with two scalps each, while Hammad Azam was the recipient of Dwayne Bravos stupidity on the hook. The visitors, who lead the five-match series one-nil, went into the clash with an unchanged XI. The Windies brought in leg-spinner Anthony Martin ahead of seamer Andre Russell.
