FAISALABAD-The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have killed four suspected terrorists, belonged to banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban, in an alleged overnight shootout on Sargodha-Faisalabad Road. According to CTD, as the security personnel, deployed on Sargodha Road, approached to search men who were riding bikes, they suddenly restored to firing. The CTD cops effectively responded and in retaliation four of them got killed, while three others managed to escape the scene, taking advantage of darkness, the CTD spokesperson claimed.
The lawmen claimed to have recovered a huge quantity of ammunition and explosive from the custody of the terrorists who said to be affiliated with banned outfit TTP.
While, heavy contingent of police have been called in the area to launch search operation to apprehend the accomplices of the killed terrorists.
