KHAIRPUR - One person was killed while another was hurt in a road mishap near Ranipur on Saturday. According to Ranipur police, two persons were on their way to Punjab from Karachi in a car. When they reached Ranipur, driver of the car lost control over it and it fell into a ditch by the roadside. Resultantly, Imran Ali Mughal died on the spot while another Zafar Iqbal was hurt. He was shifted to Ranipur hospital in critical condition. The cause of the accident is stated to be fast speed. The body of the deceased was later sent to Punjab via Edhi ambulance.

Three-day Int’l seminar at SALU from 27th

 Department of Geography Chairperson at Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Dr Noor Hussain Chandio announced on Saturday that a three-day international conference on ‘Geographical Evaluation of Agriculture in Pakistan: Challenges and Remedies’, organised by the Department of Geography in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan, will be held from 27th-29th of this month. “Scholars from China, Malaysia, Bangladesh as well as from across the country will participate in the conference and read out their research papers on various themes,” he said, and further informed that Syeda Nafisa Shah Jillani, MNA, would inaugurate the conference as a chief guest while Professor Dr Parveen Shah, SALU VC, would also speak at the inaugural session.
