At least seven people, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were killed in separate incidents of firing and violence here in Karachi on Saturday.
According to reports, three people have been killed in Lyari during the past one year.
Earlier in the day, ASI Khursheed was shot dead at Yousuf Goth in Baldia. In another firing incident, one person was killed in Korangi.
One dead body was found dumped in Khajoor Street at Lee Market.
On the other hand, Rangers conducted a search operation in Chakewara, coal godown and Gulistan Colony and recovered two abductees. Three kidnappers were arrested while huge cache of arms was seized.
In Lyari, two rival groups exchanged fire and hand grenades. Shakil Commando, member of Ladla Group, was reportedly injured in the clash.
