SRINAGAR (Agencies) - Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has said that a fellow anti-Indian rebel killed a veteran cleric in Indian Held Kashmir, in a report released Friday. Moulana Shoukat Ahmad Shah, a cleric and strong pro-independence supporter, was assassinated on April 8 in a bomb blast in Indian Occupied Kashmirs summer capital Srinagar, as he entered a mosque. Kashmiri groups had earlier blamed the daylight killing on Indian security agencies, accusing them of seeking to sabotage the freedom struggle of Kashmiris. But an investigation by the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) said that a member of rebel group Tehreek-ul-Mujahedin (TuM), Javed Munshi, was responsible for the killing of Shah. At first instance, we thought Indian agencies and troops had martyred him (Shah) to weaken the movement, said the LeT report, handed to senior Kashmir leaders by the group on Thursday.
