OUR STAFF REPORTER BAHAWALPUR A woman was allegedly stabbed and critically injured by her husband and in-laws over a family dispute in Ahmedpur East here on Friday. Later, Zarina wife of one Luqman was admitted to Bahawal Victoria Hospital, Bahawalpur where she was stated to be in a critical condition as she suffered 23 stab cuts/wounds. The injured married Luqman some three months ago. Her husband is reportedly used to drinking. She has been suspected him of having illicit relations with a close female relative. The suspicion stirred up tension in the house and a clash took place last night forcing the in-laws to reportedly torture her. However, the Mussafir Khana police have been forcing the parents of the wounded girl to reconcile with the accused and withdraw the case as they will be financially compensated. But they demanded justice.
