ISLAMABAD - Hundreds of people from different school of thoughts on Friday took part in the rally to mark Al-Quds Day here in the Federal Capital and condemned Israel for illegally occupied Palestinian land. The rally was arranged on the appeal of Quaid-e Millat Jaffria Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi. It started from central mosque at G-6/2 Islamabad and the participants marched toward Aabpara Chowk. The protesters were holding banners and placards against Israel. The demonstrators were chanting slogans against Israel and its brutality against the innocent Palestinians. On the occasion, Allama Abdul Jalil Naqvi, Allama Ashfaq Wahidi, Allama Farhat Jawadi, Syed Sikandar Abbas Gilani, and Syed Javaid Hussain Shah addressed the gathering. They said that Hizbullah had set an example and gave a historical lesson to Israel during Israel- Lebanon war. They further demanded the United Nations to take serious notice of Israels brutality and take measure for the release of holly land from Israel. Spokesman Islami Tehreek, Syed Sikandar Gilani told that the rallies were arranged across the country on the appeal of Sajid Naqvi after Juma prayer. He added that the rallies were also arranged in AJK to show solidarity with Palestinians and against the Israeli illegal occupation on holly land. The demonstrators also condemned killings in Parachinar, Karachi and Quetta and also demanded to unveil the people behind the killings and responsible should be dealt with iron hands.
