The Islamabad High Court (IHC) lashed out at government and military for assigning Army the role of 'mediator' in agreement between government and protesters today.

Justice Shaukat Aziz raised the question about Radul Fasaad. "Who is Army to play role of mediator," judge asked. "Under which law major general was given this role."

The court asserted that interior minister is cementing impression that Army is cure of all illnesses.

The judge further asked interior minister about absence of signatures of inspector general and chief commissioner on the document.

Earlier, Federal Interior Minister appeared before Islamabad High Court (IHC) with reference to Faizabad sit-in.

As the hearing of the case resumed, Justice Shaukat Aziz observed absence of the minister and expressed displeasure over it. The court ordered Iqbal to appear before court in 15 minutes.

Furthermore, the court summoned Intelligence Bureau Aftab Sultan and secretary commander of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

During the hearing Chief Commissioner Zulfiqar Ahmed Bhutta, Inspector General Khalid Khattak and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Captain (r) Mushtaq.

Earlier, the court asked government about signed agreement between government and TLYR protester and ordered to present document before court today.

"The government has admitted every demand of protesters," Justice Aziz observed. "The protesters abused judiciary and government but no apology is in agreement by them," the court mentioned.
