Speakers against delay in Fata merger with KP

SWABI - Speakers at a gathering here on Monday said that the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas merger with the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa should not be delayed.

They said that the people of Fata have awaked now and any delay in the merger would increase negative implications. 

They said this, while speaking at a gathering held at the residence of Major (retd) Muhammad Aamir.

The meeting was attended by Major Aamir and members of Fata Youth Jirga including Arshad Afridi, Nizamuddin, Nisar Bar, Shaukat Aziz, Qadar Wazir and Adnan Shinwari.

The FYJ members belong to different political parties and Fata organizations.

They said that the major objective of their initiated and accelerated process was the Fata merger in the KP and eradicate the deprivation of the tribal people who lagged behind in numerous fields.

Speaking on the occasion, Maj Aamir said those religious figures, who work according to the wishes of foreign agencies and followed their guidelines could not stop the merger of Fata in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

“We knew that some religious leaders remain at the mercy of the foreign secret agencies and harming interest of Fata and Pakistan. They would never be allowed to achieve their nefarious designs,” he said.

However, he did not elaborate that who were these leaders and worked according to the guidelines of secret agencies belong to which counties.

However, one of the participants told this correspondent that Major has hinted towards the involvement of the Indian Research Analysis Wing (Raw), American Central Intelligence agency (CIA) and others who devised plan to destabilize Fata.

He demanded that the government should speed up the process for Fata merger in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa because the people could no longer wait.

“All the political parties should play their due role in this critical stage of Fata’s merging in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa,” he said.

He said that the youth of Fata have awakened and once the youth remain wake up no one could stop them. He said that Jamaat Ishaat-ul-Tauheed Wal Sunnah leadership was ready to play their due role for progress and prosperity of the braved tribal people who had played a key in the defense of the country.

Earlier, the FYJ has given a detailed briefing on the occasion about their continued struggle and progress that had achieved so far.

They lauded the services of Major Aamir and said that his contribution would prove a turning point in the merging of Fata in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
