LAHORE: Qandeel Baloch , a social media entertainer who made headlines last week following her controversial meeting with a religious figure, has appealed to the government for security.

Baloch who is often dubbed as ‘controversy queen’ also demanded security for her family . Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club yesterday, she claimed that she was receiving life threats following her controversial selfies and videos with Mufti Abdul Qawi.

“There is a serious threat to my life. What is the government doing to provide me security? I have written to the Interior Ministry asking for security,” Fouzia Azeem (her real name) told the media.

In a letter written to Ministry of Interior, FIA and SSP Islamabad for fool proof security, she has also urged the authorities to take action against the responsible allegedly involved in sharing her personal documents on social media.–Monitoring
