AHMEDPUR EAST-A person was killed and six other including six others including four pedestrians got bullet injuries in crossfire between two rival groups over a van stand situated at Chowk Abbasia Tuesday afternoon.
According to police and rescue sources, two rival groups of Raees family have been locked an old dispute over a van stand at Chowk Abbasia. The Ahmedpur East City Police had registered a case against both the groups on November 19, but dispute could not be resolved.
Tuesday afternoon panic gripped Chowk Abbasia when members of both Raees Ranjhu and his rival Raees group exchanged gunshot. As result, one Raees Muhammad Arif, the elder brother of local PML-N leader Raees Tariq Mustafa died and six others including Mst Munaza Bibi, an employee of family planning department of THQ hospital and five other got bullet injuries. The City Police contingent rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. No case could be registered till the filing of this report.
