EONLINE LOS ANGELES-Miley Cyrus manages to talk about her engagement ring while simultaneously keeping a lid on the future of her love life during her appearance on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ yesterday. She explained how she wasn’t a huge fan of the gigantic diamond on her ring finger.

The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer, who is set to return to ‘The Voice’ for season 13 (the one after the next), rekindled her romance with ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ star Liam Hemsworth earlier this year, but she revealed to Ellen DeGeneres that just because her engagement ring is back on her finger, it doesn’t mean she’s ready to tie the knot.

‘I think that something that people should understand is what we wear and what a relationship and a commitment means is very different to what tabloids like to make it mean’, she said.

‘I think young people have a different idea of partnering and not feeling that this necessarily means this is going to have a legal document signed and dated because it’s really sharing a life with someone and not about a legal paper that tells me anything.’

In fact, Miley doesn’t think she ever wants to get married, engaged or not. ‘I fought so hard for LGBTQ rights to be able to get married but I don’t even really want to’, she added.

Ellen unveiled a rather old Instagram pic of Miley dressed in her usual colourful ensemble; a green dotted rain cap with a matching top, a pink coat and a large, candy-like ring on her index finger. Her engagement ring sat prominently two fingers away, but looked somehow very out of place. It’s safe to say, it’s not very Miley-ish.

‘It’s very weird because this is real jewellery and most of my jewellery is made out of like gummy bears and cotton candy’, she said.

‘They don’t look that good together because they kind of mix up so sometimes I replace it with a unicorn or a Looney Toon and [Liam] is like ‘What’s going on?’ It’s like, ‘Well this isn’t really my aesthetic but I’ll wear it because you love me’.’
