LAHORE - Due to the recent protest, trucks and other vehicles have been detained by Punjab Police which could result in a potential shortage of milk products across country.

This situation is being faced by corporations and other suppliers operating in the consumer goods space.

The police in Punjab are detaining these heavy vehicles to be used potentially to block roads in and out of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Some of the most affected areas are: Pattoki, Gujrat, Jhelum, Gujjar Khan, and Chakwal where a number of vehicles have been parked outside of police stations.

In Rawalpindi, even small supply trucks are not being allowed to do supplies and are being impounded.

In addition, Punjab police are not only withholding milk supplies but also trucks carrying edible oil; pharmaceuticals and other consumer goods along with empty truck which were on their way back from making deliveries.
