LAHORE - Dr Waqar Chaudhry, senior faculty member at the Institute of Communication Studies of the Punjab University, will represent Pakistan at the international workshop on “Communication” starting from Oct 30 in Lahore.

The workshop with the theme “Strategies and mechanisms to optimize the external communications of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation Chamber of Commerce and Industry” is being organised in partner with Fur Die Frehiheit and Saarc. Dr Waqar has 35-year experience in diversified fields.

Separately, Punjab University’s Hailey College of Banking and Finance, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan, conducted an awareness seminar on security features of currency notes.

The objective of the seminar was to develop the skills of students in differentiating between genuine and counterfeit currency notes. Officials from Currency Department of SBP led by Shehla Manzoor delivered lectures at two sessions of the seminar. HCBF Principal Prof Mubbsher Munawar Khan, faculty members and over 250 students participated in the sessions. With the help of instruments, SBP Officials elaborated salient security features of currency notes.
