RIS organises Student Council oath-taking ceremony

islamabad (PR) - Roots International Schools hosted a Student Council oath-taking ceremony 2017-18 at the Wellington Campus, Islamabad, aimed to encourage young individuals to regularise the student body and become responsible citizens. The RIS students vowed under oath that they will be dynamic and responsible members of the Student Executive Council and will abide by the rules and regulations made by the school to guarantee themselves and the student body a better campus life.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Furqat A. Sidikov, Member National Assembly Maiza Hameed and Federal Secretary Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Omer Hamid Khan graced the occasion as Chief Guests.

To maintain discipline, students are selected to assist the management. To inculcate a sense of discipline and responsibility, the oath taking ceremony was held in Roots International Schools. The programme began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and was followed by an address of the Principal.

The principal, Chief Guests, CEO RIS and the Executive Director RIS presented the sashes to the Junior Student Council and High School Student Council which they received with immense pride and diligence.

CEO- Roots International Schools, Walid Mushtaq accentuated on leadership and determination of the youth to make a revolutionary change in Pakistan. The dynamic and energetic branch heads stated that children are the challenge and inspiration of today. They are the hope; protectors and champions of the future. Stressing on the role of parents and teachers, he said that the way their raise and teach children will determine what the world of tomorrow will be.

RIS is home to creativity, expression and imagination and the faculty here works hard to polish the natural skills of a student and steer them in the right direction. They stir the aspirations, and help them discover their talents.

Furqat A. Sidiqov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan praised the dedication of students and also commended the dynamic leadership of Walid Mushtaq Chief Executive Roots International Schools, Pakistan. He emphasised the need for active engagement of youth in professional organizations and encouraged students to participate at the national level.
