CJP says do not find tactics to delay polls

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhary Wednesday said that judiciary would not allow anyone to delay upcoming general elections in the name of legislation. The chief justice also sought report of electoral reforms implementation case.
A SC bench led by Chief Justice IftiKhar Mohammad Chaudhary heard the Electoral Reforms Implementation case.
The chief justice remarked that political parties were staging sit-in over the issue of voters verification in Karachi.
Attorney General told the court that Election Commission has sent its recommendations to Law Ministry, and the recommendations were being reviewed.
Chief Justice said that ways being found to delay general elections.
The application Mohammad Hussain Mehanti told the apex court that the court's order regarding house-to-house voter lists verification not being implemented.
The court adjourned the case hearing till February 13.
