Commissioner Larkana condoles with family of deceased LHW

SHIKARPUR - Commissioner Larkana Muhammad Abbas Baloch on Wednesday visited the house of the lady health worker [LHW], who had succumbed to her injuries at the Trauma Centre of Karachi’s hospital. 

Mehtab, 50, wife of Karam Hussain Samoon, had been bitten by stray dogs at Jahan Waah union council, where she had gone, along with a male social worker, Imam Ali Seeliro, on a motorcycle.  

The incident happened when she suddenly fell down from the motorcycle, and stray dogs pounced upon her.  

After the provision of first aid, she was referred to a hospital in Karachi for further treatment, but she succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday. The commissioner expressed his profound grief over the demise of the LHW with her family and gave them a cheque of Rs1 million. He further announced concessions for the heirs of the LHW. 

On the occasion, family members of the deceased LHW presented their demands to the commissioner in writing. 

DC Larkana Kashif Ali Thebo, ADC-1 Shikarpur, Assistant Commissioner Shikarpur Arbabas Ali Shah, DHO Health Shoukat Memon and others were also present on the occasion.
