HAFIZABAD-Scores of villagers living between Head Sagar and Qadirabad Barrage have called upon the district administration to ensure repair of the road which has been deteriorated during the past one year due to official negligence.
They said that the road links Hafizabad city with Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat and other cities located on the GT Road via Qadirabad Barrage and it is in pitiable condition due to indifferent attitude of the department concerned. They further regretted that recently the government had allocated Rs15 million for the repair/renovation of different roads in the district but that road had been ignored altogether.
Awami Mahaz District Chairman Rana Khalid Mahmood demanded renovation of the road keeping in view its importance and to facilitate the growers to transport their food products to the markets.
