Govt making all efforts to protect rights of minorities: Minister of Religious Affairs

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has said that the government is making concerted efforts to ensure interfaith harmony in the country.

In an interview with APP in Washington, he said that any assertion that minorities are not enjoying rights in Pakistan is a mere propaganda.

The Minister referred to the plight of Muslims in India and said they are being killed on mere suspicion of eating cow's meat.

He said that the government attaches high priority to minorities' rights and all steps are being taken to promote sectarian harmony.
