ISLAMABAD Pakistan overwhelmed Iran 30-15 in the opening kabaddi fixture on Wednesday here at Laiquat Gymnasium, Pakistan Sports Complex, and earned 1-0 lead in the four-match rubber. Nasir Ali, Abrar Hussain and Wajid Ali performed well during the 40 minutes match and led Pakistan to victory. By the start of the first half, the tourists led 7-1 at one stage of the match. Pakistani coach changed strategy later. Pakistan finished the match at 30-15 with big difference of 15 points. The second match of the series will be played on Thursday (today) at same venue. Federal Minister for Sports, Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani, will be the chief guest in the second match.
