KARACHI Seeds and favorites in the 16-player Del Monte Snooker Cup fumbled in the second round as they lost the advantage they had earned in the first round here the other day at Karachi Club. Top seed and favourite Muhammad Sajjad, who started impressively winning the first round against low ranked Nauman Awan by four frames to one, suffered a rude shock when he lost to Shahram Changezi in a tough second-round competition that went to the wire. The contest was decided in the seventh and the final frame that Changezi won 61-25. The high point of the contest was a fine century break from Changezi in the fifth frame that proved ended 109-4 in favour of the winner. Changezi won 10-71, 62-72, 67-44, 77-28, 109-4, 39-65 and 61-25. Second seed and challenger to the top seed Asjad Iqbal, who also won his first round match 4-0 against Rambail Gul of KPK slumped in the second round when he lost to Abdul Sattar of Sindh by four frames to one. The score in favour of the Sindh player was 56-31, 65-21, 41-66, 75-9, 63-42.
