OPF Girls College council members take oath
Islamabad - OPF Girls College Islamabad held its 23rd oath-taking ceremony on Thursday. The OPF Girls College established in 1986 and since then it is making its upward journey to success. It has a history of producing groomed and practical young ladies to be part of people at service to our beloved country. To this prestigious event, Habib-ur-Rehman, Managing Director of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (PF), was invited as a chief guest along with Israr Khan Jamali, DMD of OPF, Noor Zaman, DG Human Resource, Mumtaz Ali Bhatti, DG, Shahzad Iqbal, DG Education division, Najeeb Khilji, DG Welfare and Services Division. Shahina Masood, Principal of OPF Girls College F-8/2, delivered her welcome address and highlighted the academic and co-curricular achievements of the college.
She mentioned multiple activities the college students have been participating in. The chief guest administered oaths of all local council members through the course of ceremony. The occasion saw a smooth transition of power from the hands of former president Maryam Khalid to newly elected Amna Khan who addressed the house after holding the office.
To conclude the ceremony the chief guest Habib-ur-Rehman spoke to the occasion admiring the achievements of students and appreciated the efforts of the college to groom the generation. He congratulated students who have got laurels for the college by their outstanding performance in the Federal Board especially in Matric stream. He was presented the college crest by the principal.
