Candlelight vigil for martyrs of Peshawar

Rawalpindi - A candlelight vigil was organised by Anjuman Talba-e-Islam on Thursday in front of Army Public School and College Ordinance to express solidarity with the victim families of the innocent children martyred by terrorists in a brazen armed assault on a military-run school in Peshawar.
The candle light vigil/demonstration was led by ATI representative Shaheer Sialvi while attended by a large number of male and female students of various educational institutions. The participants lit the candles and offered Fateh for the departed souls of martyrs.
Addressing the participants, ATI Representative Saheer Sialvi said that it was the high time for the nation to get united to beat the terrorists. He said that the government should hang all the terrorists languishing in jails within 48 hours. He said that Indian and American agents were fully involved in heinous activities to destabilize Pakistan. “The government and intelligence agencies should kick out all the agents from the country,” he said, adding that Pakistan Army was eliminating the terrorists and ATI would support the army all the time.
A prayer was held at Benazir Bhutto Hospital BBH here in the memory of the children who were martyred in a terror attack on a school in Peshawar. Prayers were offered for the departed souls who sacrificed their life in a terrorist attack. Besides, Medical Superintendent MS Asif Qadir Mir, Young Doctors Association representatives, Satff Welfare Association and nursing staff attended the ceremony.
MS Asif Qadir Mir and Young Doctors Association president Dr Waqas Akram condemned the deadly attack.
They said that such inhuman attacks could not diminish the resolve of Pakistani nation and armed forces; adding that terrorists would be defeated at all.
They expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and prayed for early recovery of the injured.
In Pir Mehar Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, prayer was also held by Muslim Students Federation (MSF) with participation of VC Dr Rai Niaz Ahmed, other faculty members, federation’s Punjab General Secretary Maqbool Ahmed Khan and a large number of students.
On the occasion, Fateh was offered for the martyred of Peshawar school siege and government and Army were demanded to take stern action against the terrorists.
