Islamabad - A colourful closing ceremony of Air University Students Week 2015 was held on Friday at Islamabad campus.
A plenty of games, inter-department sports events, dramas, singing and debate competitions were held, besides a very delightful cultural night, during the Students Week.
Addressing to the ceremony, chief guest Vice-Chancellor Air University, Air Vice-Marshal (Retd) Faaiz Amir, said, “We are committed to provide excellent atmosphere in addition to academic strides here in university to our students.” He added that sports are very healthy activities and teach the discipline in life. “We really need to promote sports in our society. The competition always energizes the students to explore their abilities and deliver the best.” He appreciated the active participation from all departments of Air University and distributed the medals, trophies and cash awards among the winners of different categories. He especially felicitated Sabihul Hassan, convener Students Week, for his efforts to make the event cheerful and entertaining.
The Students Week was stretched on sporting events like tug of war, volley ball, basket ball, cricket, and football.
, badminton, musical chair, drama, singing competitions and many more other fun activities. The students, faculty members and admin staff of Air University and representatives from different media groups attended the closing ceremony.
