Roots celebrates achievements of world toppers

Islamabad (PR) - It was a glorious evening full of accomplishments, as the high achievers of Roots Ivy International/Roots School System DHA-1 got together to celebrate the outstanding success stories and achievements of the graduating class of 2015.
Now in its 27th year, Roots Ivy International/ Roots School System DHA-1 celebrated the high achiever’s award ceremony and convocation with great honour and pride together with all the students, proud parents, guests of honour, members of the diplomatic community, social dignitaries of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, corporate society, heads of NGOs, educationists, media and members of Rotary International, says a press release issued here on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sent a congratulatory note to Khadija Mushtaq (TI), CEO of Roots Ivy International Schools Pakistan, extending his heartiest congratulations to the institution for nurturing brilliance among the youth of Pakistan.
The chief guests for the ceremony included Federal Minister of State for Education, Trainings and Standards in Higher Education Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman, Chairman HEC Dr Prof Mukhtar Ahmed, Federal Minister for Commerce Engr Khuram Dastgir Khan, Minister of State/ Chairperson BISP Marvi Memon, British High Commissioner Patrick Moody and Ambassador of Argentina Rodolfo J Martin-Saravia.
CEO RSS Col Ch Rasool Mushtaq, Founder RSS Riffat Mushtaq and Khadija Mushtaq welcomed all the guests including John D Kriegsman, financial attaché US treasury department, Peter Heyward, Australian high commissioner, Judith Ravin, US cultural attaché, Prof Dr Javed Ashraf, Vice-Chancellor QAU, Uzma Yousaf, country manager Cambridge International Examinations, different diplomats and others.
The class of 2015 dedicated their achievements to the children martyred in APS Peshawar tragedy on 16th December, 2014. The ceremony was a validation of quality teaching, educational innovation, and comprehensive philosophy of a progressive global vision. The proud parents were overjoyed to celebrate the outstanding success and achievements of the graduating students who had worked hard throughout the year to achieve this enormous success.
This year students received multiple admission offers from top IVY league universities including Brown, Cornell, Princeton and highly selective universities like Williams, Babson, Duke and Richmond on 100% scholarships. Roots students have received a collective scholarship amount of approximately Rs 2 billion for four years of undergraduate study which is simply remarkable.
Some of the heart wrenching narrations by the mothers and fathers of these outstanding students brought tears to many an eye.
The mothers and fathers of these students were extremely happy, grateful and content to know that their children are studying in the best institute in the country.
Khadija Mushtaq said, “I am extremely proud to share with you the phenomenal success of the Roots DHA-1/Ivy class of 2015. These young dreamers and proud high achievers have secured the most coveted admission offers from the top universities of the world. To be accepted by such highly ranked colleges, for which even the top high school students in USA prepare a lifetime to get into, is in itself a remarkable achievement. The class of 2015 have broken all previous records and secured an astounding amount of scholarships amounting to Rs 2 billion! No school or college in Pakistan is even close to what Roots DHA-1/Ivy has accomplished in just one year. Only this year, 29 students have received admission in New York University on full scholarships which is a record breaking achievement in any educational institution in Pakistan. In addition to this, 90 percent of the graduating class of A-Levels that is more than 300 students have received admission offers from some of the best universities in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, Australia and now Germany with which Roots DHA-1/Ivy has signed an MOU through EURASIA Institute. There is no doubt that the bold and futuristic strategy opted by Roots DHA-1/Ivy to groom the finest global leaders has proved its mettle as now the entire world can recognize and value our achievements.”
At the end, Federal Minister Engr. Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman congratulated the graduating class of 2015 and applauded the tireless efforts of Khadija Mushtaq and the entire staff.
