Beaconhouse awards high achievers

Islamabad - The Beaconhouse School System, northern region, hosted a high achievers ceremony here at the Convention Centre on Friday.
More than 700 students received awards for academic brilliance in their Matriculation and O and A Level Cambridge International examinations. The ceremony was attended by more than 1,500 people including families and teachers.
Former MNA Shehnaz Wazir Ali was the chief guest, MNA Asad Umar was the keynote speaker while Parvez Hoodbhoy was the guest of honour. Other distinguished guests included ambassadors, dignitaries, bureaucrats and distinguished personalities of the twin cities.
The classes of 2013 and 2014 were honoured at the ceremony; along with those who had done extremely well in various extra- and co-curricular activities. The ceremony began with recitation from the Holy Quran.
In his welcome address, Executive Director North Nassir Kasuri congratulated the high achievers, thanked the parents for their support and acknowledged the teachers’ undying commitment.
Shehnaz Wazir Ali, in her address, acknowledged the services of the Beaconhouse School System in the field of education and urged the students to continue working hard and succeeding for themselves and the country.
Asad Umar shared his experiences and achievements and proved to be an inspiration for the students. Listening to Parvez Hoodbhoy was an inspiring experience for the students as well. Shehnaz Wazir Ali presented awards to distinction-holders from the batches of 2013 and 2014. She congratulated Beaconhouse and all the students and their parents. She urged students to always remember their responsibility towards Pakistan.
The ceremony included musical performances by Beaconhouse students from various campuses, which showcased the spirit of holistic education fostered by Beaconhouse. The event was managed by a team of Beaconhouse students including stage and award presentations.
