Islamabad - Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday said that welfare organisations are doing a commendable service by paying special attention on education, training and health facilities of the children of the nation.
Speaking at a special event of Eid get-together with children here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Begum Mehmooda Mamnoon Hussain said welfare organisations are playing significant role in supporting the children’s rights. Begum Hussain said children are the future of a country and stressed the importance of their proper upbringing besides providing them access to education and health facilities.
She said sometime a society comes across with several problems; however in such circumstances dynamic societies give support to children and weaker segments.
She appreciated the social services of Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD), a welfare organisation for providing educational and health-related support to the children. 
She urged upon the people to support such organisations and promote the spirit of social services for children. She expressed hope that Helping Hand and allied welfare organizations would ensure upbringing of children in such a manner so as not to hurt their self-respect.
