Lincoln Corner opens at FJWU

Rawalpindi - Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with the US Embassy Islamabad arranged inaugural ceremony of Susan B Anthony Reading Room (SBARR) in university’s library yesterday.
Vice Chancellor Dr Samina Amin Qadir and US Counsellor for Public Affairs Christina Tomlinson inaugurated the event. The refurbishment provided additional access to books, magazines, scholarly database, and state-of-the art technology for FJWU faculty and students. The project made possible by a newly signed three-year agreement between FJWU and the US embassy.
The room was a part of US embassy Islamabad’s network of 17 Lincoln Corners in Pakistan. Lincoln Corners are resources centres and events spaces hosted in partnership with Pakistani libraries, universities and cultural centres. Dr Qadir shared her views and said, “Our university is proud to host such a popular place that reflects the sustained collaboration between the university and the US embassy.”
