Headmaster defies transfer order

KHANEWAL
The Headmaster of a school has defied the transferred orders issued due to his negligence by the Punjab secretary and the district administration.
The headmaster of Government Special Education Center Kabirwala was transferred to Toba Tek Singh on negligence and not maintaining the official record, and was replaced by Ms Naseem.
When Ms Naseem reached the school to assume the charge, the transferred headmaster hurled abuses on her and denied to hand over the charge to her. He also asked clerk Rasheed Qamri and watchman Yousaf to report to the Multan director on the defiance of orders.
When they refused to do so, he locked them in a room at gunpoint. The secretary special education sent him the transfer order and he replied that he had got the orders stayed by the court. EDO Community Development Mian Abdul Gafoor ordered him to surrender and also issued orders to the account office to stop the pay of the defiant teacher.
According to the executive district officer, if he continued to disobey the orders, he will have to face the music. He further said that the secretary special education had transferred the headmaster in the light of the decision of the High Court. On the other hand, the headmaster said the orders were not binding on him.
