Parties condemn Peshawar carnage

PESHAWAR - All the political parties leaders, religious figures, civil societies members and human rights activists widely condemned the brutal killing of over 130 students and staff members by militants on Army Public School and College Peshawar.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, and the Ministers strongly condemned the tragic incident.
Besides, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) central Chairman Imran Khan, Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Sherpao, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central Chief Sirajul Haq, Awami National Party (ANP) central Secretary Information Mian Iftikhar, PPP provincial leadership, JI Prof Ibrahim Khan, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) leaders and students organisations, civil society organisations, human rights activists and Peshawar University Teachers Association (PUTA) and Haji Arshad Javid Gurwara also condemned the killings.
In their condolence message, they termed it barbarism and cowardice act, as targeting innocent students and teachers was not lawful by any creed, faith or religion.
They said that those who targeted innocent children were even not deserving to say human, adding a Muslim can't even think of doing so cowardice act.
Prof Ibrahim said that Islam forbids the killing of children and women even in war between Islam and Kufr, adding, this inhuman act cannot be the work of a Muslim or those waging Jehad.
The political parties and religious forces leaders said that the perpetrators of this inhuman act deserve stern punishment.
They asked the provincial government to forthwith unveil the culprits behind this act, and urged upon all the political parties to get united beyond political rivalries and sort out a comprehensive strategy for durable peace and an end to this menace.
