School, road renamed after APC martyr

The district administration has renamed Govt Boys Primary School Qila Kalarwala after Shahzaib Nazir, who was martyred in December 16 barbaric attacks on Army Public School Peshawar.
Now, the name of the school would be Govt Shahzaib Boys Primary School Qila Kalarwala Pasrur tehsil. The main Qila Kalarwala-Pasrur Road has also been named as Shahzaib Shaheed Road with immediate effect.
Sialkot DCO Nadeem Sarwar disclosed this while talking to the local notables. He said attribution of the said school and road to the name of the martyred student would be a noble way to pay rich tributes and homage to Shahzaib Shaheed.
Shahzaib Nazir Shaheed’s father Subedar Nazir Ahmed, MNAs Sahibzada Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah, Ch Armughan Subhani, MPAs Ch Munawar Ali Gill, Rana Liaqat Ali, Tariq Akhtar Subhani and Assistant Commissioner Pasrur Tauqeer Ilyas Cheema were also present.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government has approved a plan of establishing the counter terrorism offices at district in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala.
According to officials, the government has also released special funds of Rs30 million for constructing the buildings of the District Counter Terrorism offices, as these buildings would be like those of model police stations. The tenders for the construction of these buildings would be invited while the construction of these buildings would be ensure in a stipulated period of one year.
