LAHORE: Punjab University Institute of Social and Cultural Studies has organized a seminar on ‘Global Challenge to Countering Violent Extremism’ at its auditorium on Monday.  
Key speakers of the seminar included Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Prof Dr Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, a British legal expert and young scholars. In the seminar, the role of USA foreign policy in fanning extremism in the Muslim world was discussed in detail. The experts argued that invasion in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan proved counterproductive and in fact these invasions caused serious and multiple human rights violations for the local population and the Muslim youth felt great deal of humiliation and degradation.–Staff Reporter
