Punjab University book fair today
LAHORE - Maintaining its previous traditions, Punjab University administration will organise Pakistan’s largest 3-day book fair this year from April 2 to 4.
In this regard, inaugural ceremony will be held today (Thursday) at 10am at main corridor of Institute of Education & Research (IER). On this occasion, Acting Punjab Governor/Chancellor Punjab University Rana Iqbal will be the chief guest.
In a press statement, PU’s Chief Librarian Haseeb Ahmed Paracha said renowned publishers, booksellers and information technology organizations would establish their stalls and provide books and other products to teachers, students and general public on highly discounted rates. He said all resources would be utilised for the success of book fair so that book-reading habit could be promoted in the era of internet. He said PU had already set new records of largest sale of books during the fair.
SPORTS FESTIVAL: A 3-day Sports Festival 2015 of Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET)’s faculty will begin on Thursday (today) with the theme slogan of “One Nation One Flag”.
The participants will also observe a march from IER to main ground with an intention to promote sports, harmony and beautiful culture of Pakistan. The activity is also intended to create awareness for eradication of polio from the country.
RESULTS: The Punjab University Examinations Department has declared the results of MA D&SS Part-I supplementary 2014, MA International Relations Part-I supplementary 2014, MA Archeology Part-I supplementary 2014, MA Mass Communication supplementary 2014, MA Persian supplementary 2014, MA Fine Arts Part-II supplementary 2014, MA Philosophy Part-II supplementary 2014, MSc Gender Studies Part-II supplementary 2014, MSc MCWM Part-I & II supplementary 2014, Doctor of Pharmacy 3rd and Final Professional annual 2014 and BS Home Economics Part-II (3rd Year) 2nd annual 2014.
